10.   Roll Call
        
The joint study session of the Community Development Grants Commission (CDGC) and Housing Advisory Commission (HAC) was called to order at 12:05 P.M. in Room 5, Santo Community Center, Medford on the above date with the following members and staff in attendance:

20.   Homeless System Action Plan
 
The Housing Advisory Commission and Community Development Grants Commission held a joint study session to collect and discuss feedback on the 31 recommended actions from the Homeless System Action Plan (HSAP) to help establish biennial priorities based on need, timing, funding, and ability to complete actions within the targeted timeframe.
 
Key highlights addressed in the HSAP regarding goals and actions include the need for:
  • Targeted outreach and assistance to homeless individuals on the Greenway
  • Creation of additional homeless shelters, including of ‘Housing First’ and other models
  • Increased street outreach to non-veteran, single male adults
  • Increased collaboration between the City, CoC, and faith-based community
  • City collaboration with the County and other providers to address solutions to homelessness
  • Including the Continuum of Care (CoC) in discussions surrounding homelessness
  • Centralized location to provide services
  • Identifying potential surplus land from City, County, and faith-based community
  • City’s financial investment in support services
