In light of recent workplace violence in our nation, the Medford Police Department would like to direct our community members to a very informative video. The Huston Texas Police Department, with the assistance of Department of Homeland Security, produced this educational video related to active shooter events called RUN.HIDE.FIGHT. The video covers appropriate responses to an active shooter and suggested preparations we should make. If your work situation allows, we would encourage you to discuss this among the group you work with. Periodic training or discussion about your workspace, the avenues of escape, available hiding places, and resources to fight are important and could save your live. Our goal in sharing this information is not to create fear or anxiety of an active shooter event. As a police department we want to assist in promoting the safety of the community members we serve, and help ease any fears or anxiety due to recent workplace violence in our nation.
