Type of Incident: Appeal of Order for Business License Revocation
for “Mary Jane’s Attic/Mary Jane’s Basement”
Date of incident: January 17th, 2014
Location of incident: 259 E. Barnett Road, Medford, OR
The City of Medford began the process to revoke the business license for
the above listed business. The license revocation was for repeated
unlawful activities occurring at the business. The business was notified of
the order to revoke the license issued by the City Manager. The business
appealed that decision, which was reviewed by the City of Medford
Finance Director, Alison Chan. On January 17th, 2014, Alison Chan upheld
the order to revoke the business license.
Mary Jane’s Attic / Mary Jane’s Basement can still appeal the decision
with the Medford City Council. The business has been notified of the
appeal procedure. At time of this press release, the business license has
not been officially revoked, which is pending the time period to appeal.
