The City is pleased to welcome back Kelly Madding who will return to her prior position as Deputy City Manager.
“We are thrilled to welcome Kelly back. Kelly’s extensive experience in municipal government and understanding of the Rogue Valley community is invaluable. She is passionate about public service and committed to improving the lives of our residents,” said City Manager Brian Sjothun.
Madding worked as the Deputy City Manager for Medford from 2017-2018 before accepting Ashland’s City Administrator position. As a member of the city’s leadership team, Madding will oversee development services, urban renewal, transportation, parking district and economic development. Kelly will also be instrumental as we begin a long-range visioning process.
“I’ve enjoyed working with my colleagues throughout the Ashland community and have learned a lot. I’m excited to return to the City of Medford and look forward to the opportunity to apply the lessons and insights that I’ve gained from my experience in Ashland," said Madding.
Madding has a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Oregon and an undergraduate degree in Political Science from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. She previously served as the Development Services Director for Jackson County and was the City Manager for Talent and Rogue River.
Madding is scheduled to start on April 16, 2020.
