City General Fund Grants

The City is Not Accepting General Fund Grant Applications at This Time

Applicants must be non-profit or other eligible tax exempt organizations which provide essential safety net services to City of Medford residents.

The mission of the City General Fund Grants Program is to provide funding to support outside agencies and organizations that care for the needs of Medford residents with programs and services the City itself either cannot, or does not, provide due to lack of facilities, staffing, funding, or other limitations. City Council has determined that it will fund social and health service organizations and agencies that provide essential safety net services to the citizens of Medford.

Eligible non-profits must have a 501 (c )(3) status and serve City of Medford residents. The nonprofit must also meet an essential safety net service.The City Vision Statement defines essential safety net services as including, but not limited to, emergency care, rape crisis intervention, substance abuse treatment, medical care, legal services, shelter for women and children, and programs for the homeless. In 2005, the Council added services for seniors to the original definition.

Following the adoption of the budget on June 15, the Budget Committee has requested a review of safety net services and project outcome reporting to determine if recommendations should be made to Council for priorities for this coming biennium.    The application form will be posted when applications are being accepted.
