Geneva/Minnesota Neighborhood Partnership

The Neighborhood Street Tree Partnership Program received recognition from the City Tree Committee at a City Council meeting July 19, 2007 with a special 2007 Landscape Award.  The program, which began in 2004, has helped improve the urban forest of  seven neighborhoods. Since its inception, the program has seen the planting of 118 trees, the removal of 18 hazardous trees and the pruning and maintenance of more than 90 trees in our residential neighborhoods.   The participating neighborhoods are listed below with the neighborhood liaisons:

Maple and Pine Streets- Jane Bridcott

Fairmount Street- Oneida Gilbert

Haven Street- Lori Hopkinson

Palm Street- Hayley Mete

Vancouver Avenue- Tom Regula

Geneva/Minnesota Streets- Michael Travis and Walt Pierson

Kensington Square- Gordon Borchgrevink and David Timmins
