Permits-Burning

The Fire Prevention Division works under the authority of the State Fire Marshal, as an Assistant State Fire Marshal. As such, we are required to conduct plan reviews and request permits for various projects and activities.

The following information is provided for your convenience. Our goal is to answer your questions and to help you through the permit process when permits are required.

 

No Residential Burning is allowed within the City of Medford with the following exceptions:

• Outdoor Cooking Fires
• Agricultural Heating Devices
• Permitted Burning
  

Recreational Fire (Residential only) Burn Permits and Medford Rural District #2 Residential Burn Permits can be downloaded and kept onsite (See PDF forms below).

 

All other Permits must be obtained from the Administration Office, located at 200 S. Ivy Street, Suite 257, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
