Santo Community Center

The Santo Community Center, located at 701 N Columbus Avenue, houses the offices of the City of Medford Parks and Recreation Department and serves as a hub for many programs and activities. The site is also scheduled for use by other community organizations such as Easter Seals and ACCESS Foodshare.

To inquire please contact the department and provide as much information as possible to begin the conversation. 

Birthday Party Package - $99/2 hr

The Santo Community Center birthday party room may be available for those turning 2yr - 8yr.  Held in the Santo Community Center Main Hall, a party rental includes tables and chairs for 40, a jump house, an inflatable slide or playground for younger attendees, sport toys, and floor games.  Normal birthday party days are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday subject to availability. We must adhere to a 40 person maximum due to space restrictions in the birthday room.

Private Use - Fee depends on type of use

There are a variety of rooms which may be available for private use as well as a gymnasium.  Programs and events are scheduled annually by the department at the facility and the gymnasium particularly is generally not available due to sport use and contracted agreements with other organizations.

Availability is determined by many factors including 1) programming needs of the center, 2) proposed use compatibility with the center and 3) staff availability.

Park Spaces and Pavilions

Medford's park spaces and pavilions may provide the perfect option for your company picnic, birthday party, group outing, family reunion, or other event. 

Reservation fees are due at the time your event is placed on the Parks and Recreation Department calendar.  Reservations are to be made and fees paid in full before continuing to complete any additional permits as outlined below.  Payment may be made by cash, check, money order, Visa or MasterCard.  Make checks payable to City of Medford.

General Park Use -$50/3hr
Most park use is a family or group expecting under 50 attendees wanting to schedule a get together at a park site.  You may phone or visit the Parks and Recreation Department to schedule with a Visa or MasterCard/Check/Cash. Please review the General Park Rules prior to scheduling a park to avoid misunderstandings. You may also contact the department and outline your event in as much detail as possible to help determine if your anticipated use is a general one or a special event. Insurance is required if a reservation wants to have a jump house or other inflatable recreation item at the site.
Special Events - Fee depends on planned use
Events include groups expecting over 50 persons, walk/runs, those wanting to consider alcohol, amplifying sound or a public invited event. To help you have a successful event contact the department's special event staff person. They are here to help you find the right location, configure fees and guide you thru the permit and insurance processes.  The Bear Creek Amphitheater and Pear Blossom Park Stage are prime examples of special event preferred locations.

Items to consider when looking for the right facility for your event include the following. You must reserve and pay all park fees prior to submitting permits.
