The Santo Community Center, located at 701 N Columbus Avenue, houses the offices of the Medford Parks and Recreation Department and serves as a hub for programs and activities.
Birthday Party Packages Starting February 1st, 2020
The Santo Community Center offers a birthday party package for children walking to age twelve. Our Basic Birthday Party Package consists of 45 minutes in the activity room followed by 45 minutes in a private party room. Party rentals include tables, chairs, jump houses, toys, floor games, and access to our public outdoor courtyard. The outdoor courtyard has a playground, picnic tables, sport court, natural play areas, and an artificial turf play area.

Private Use
The Santo Community Center has a variety of rooms which may be available for private use. Availability is determined by many factors including but not limited to the programming needs of the center, the proposed use compatibility with the center, and staff availability.

The Nature Center is located in the U.S. Cellular Community Park at 2931 South Pacific Hwy, Medford, OR, 97501. The Nature Center is available for rentals and is also the the location for Coyote Trails Programs.
Private Use
The Nature Center conference room is available for small meetings or rentals. The hourly rental fee below includes the cost of a staff member being on site.

Special Event Park Use
A Special Event Permit will be mandated for any reservation that is an open public invited event, over 50 attendees, amplifying sound, requests alcohol, has inflatables, or any event the department deems a permit necessary for. Park spaces must be reserved and paid prior to submitting permit applications. Detailed information on permit applications for alcohol, sound equipment, street closures, and certificate of insurance are below.

Alcohol
Alcohol is permitted in the following parks/facilities when the City Managers Office Alcohol Permit is approved. Alba Park, Bear Creek Park, Carnegie Building, Hawthorne Park, Pear Blossom Park, Santo Community Center Gym, US Cellular community Park and Vogel Plaza.
Required when events are open to attendance by the general public and for general use reservations planning on having a jump house or other recreational item at the site.

Amplifying sound during any rental may be allowed when in compliance with the City Managers Office Amplification Permit.
Bear Creek Amphitheater and the Pear Blossom Park Stage are appropriate locations for large events with music.
Street Closure
Some events may require the temporary closure of a city street.
The special event staff person will help you determine whether your event will be required to obtain General Liability insurance and will help you determine whether your event will be required to submit a street closure plan.
