About Medford Fire-Rescue

Medford Fire-Rescue provides emergency response services, fire prevention, and public education to a population base of approximately 90,000 citizens within a geographic area covering 55.77 square miles. The area spans a mix of topography that runs from the typical urban setting to agricultural farm land. The topography continues into rolling foothills on the East and terminates in heavily wooded pine forests to the West.

Through various feedback instruments, the department is able to monitor the number and type of emergency incidents, response arrival times, general business activities, area population, etc. This information is utilized as a tool for general planning and management.
