Getting correct and timely information during an emergency is the key to taking safe action. Someone in your household may not be able to receive, understand, or act on emergency information. Think about what special needs your household may have. Take action now to make sure everyone in your family will be safe in an emergency. 

One way to get notified about emergencies and other community alerts is by signing up for our Citizen Alert Program. The power is in your hands regarding how you want to be contacted. For example, you can tell the system to call your cell phone and work phones, send a text, or even send an email - whichever form of communication works best for you. You can also specify multiple locations within the City you care about, such as your house, your parent's house, or your kids' school.

This notification system helps us provide you with critical information quickly in a variety of situations such as fire, flood, unexpected road closures, missing persons and evacuation of buildings or neighborhoods.
