City Services - What's Open?

The health and safety of our community is the City's top priority. Starting Monday, March 23 there will be modified public access to City facilities.

This extraordinary action is being taken to balance the City’s prioritization of the health and well-being of City employees and the community at large as we attempt to slow the spread of COVID-19 and lessen the impact to our health care system.

Essential Services are Open

Essential City services are still running. Some are available online, by phone, and by email.
  • Police and Fire services
  • Emergency Operations Center (EOC)
  • Utility Services
  • Public Works Engineering and Operations
  • Waste Water Treatment
  • Parks and Facilities Maintenance
  • Development Services
  • Capital Projects

Development Services

We are committed to providing excellent customer services during this unprecedented time. Our Development Services staff will continue to provide our regular services to the community, which includes the following:
  • Plan review
  • Inspections
  • Permits (including building, land use, and development)
  • Plat Review
  • Late fees for business licenses and rental registrations will be waived until June 1.

Municipal Court

  • All municipal court proceedings, with the exception of pretrials, out-of-custody arraignments and in-custody arraignments, are postponed until at least June 8. 
Proceedings are only being held via phone call, do not come to City Hall.
Community members are asked to call 541-774-2040 or contact their attorney regarding currently scheduled proceedings. Visit our Online Services webpage to learn how you can pay your citation.​


Utility Billing 

  • All Utility Billing services are available online or by phone, and the office is closed to the public for the time being.
  • Customers can pay their utility bill online or by phone at 541-774-2140.
  • Customers may also make payments using these dropbox locations or mail payments to: City of Medford Utilities – P.O. Box 2327, Portland, OR 97208.
  • *Utility customers will not be charged late fees for past due balances through May 30.*
  • *The City will temporarily suspend sending past due bills to collections.*

Your Visit

All City offices and facilities will be closed to public access. Signage will be posted at all building entrances with contact information and meetings with City staff will be by appointment only, if necessary.
