                         Oregon Hills Stormwater Detention and Water Quality Facility
                           Oregon Hills Park – McAndrews Road and Chablis Terrace
Class of Work: Earthwork and Drainage
 
 
Sealed proposals addressed to Cory Crebbin, Public Works Director, City of Medford, Oregon, endorsed “Oregon Hills Stormwater Detention and Water Quality Facility” will be received at the office of the Public Works Director, 200 S. Ivy Street, Medford, OR 97501, until 2:00:00 p.m. local time on Thursday, June 25, 2020, and thereafter will be opened publicly and read and will then be referred to the City Council.
 
This project is located at 6001 E. McAndrews Road, between McAndrews Road, Chablis Terrace, and Tamarack Drive within the City of Medford and Jackson County, Oregon.
 
This project includes all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to construct a 11.6 acre-foot stormwater detention basin on city of Medford property.
 
Pay items include, but are not limited to the following: 3,500 square yards Matting; Construction Survey Work; 37,000 cubic yards general excavation; 3,800 square yards subgrade geotextile; 1,500 tons grouted riprap, class 100; 1,500 tons keyed riprap, class 100; 650 feet culvert pipe; 3 storm sewer manholes; North Flow Control Structure; South Flow Control Structure; 2,300 tons aggregate base and subbase; 420 square feet concrete walks; 100 feet concrete curb; 560 square feet reinforced concrete driveways; 6.5 acres  seeding; 1,100 cubic yards topsoil; 1,850 plugs; 1,700 shrubs #1 container; 150 feet chain link fence; Irrigation system. Completion date: October 30, 2020.  Cost Range: $1,000,000 - $2,000,000.  Class of Work: Earthwork and Drainage.

A proposal for bidding purposes may be obtained Thursday, June 11, 2020, at the City of Medford Engineering Office, 200 S. Ivy Street, Medford, OR 97501, upon payment of a nonrefundable charge of $20.00 per set.  A proposal, for informational purposes only, may be obtained through “BidSync” at https://www.periscopeholdings.com/bidsync/ or requested through the City of Medford website at http://www.cityofmedford.orgThey may also be examined at the following locations:

Bids must be accompanied by a certified check equivalent to 10% of the proposal payable to the City of Medford, to guarantee that if a proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered into and its performance secured.  A Bid Bond to like effect and amount with a corporate surety will be acceptable for this project.  Bids must be in writing and signed by or on behalf of the bidders.

 
All Bidders shall be prequalified with the City of Medford, as provided by law under Oregon Revised Statutes, at least 5 days prior to opening of bids.
 
All of the provisions of Section 279C.800 through 279C.870 ORS, as amended by Senate Bill 477, relating to wage rates to be paid on all contracts for Public Works in this state must be complied with and the statement attesting to the contractor's willingness to do so must be signed and submitted with the bid.
 
All bidders must state at the appropriate place in the bid documents, whether or not the bidder is a resident as defined in ORS 279A.120. A percentage increase, as determined by the Department of General Services, will be added to nonresident's bids for the purpose of determining the lowest qualified bidder.

The City of Medford may reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, and may reject for good cause any or all bids upon a finding of the agency that it is in the public interest to do so.
 
Neither the contractor nor his subcontractors will need an asbestos abatement license to perform the work set forth under this notice.
