Temporary Shelter Policy

Temporary Shelters

The City of Medford Building, Planning and Fire Departments have developed a Temporary Shelter Policy to provide temporary shelters and ensure they are safe. The policy applies to both warming shelters and events at churches and schools where people are sleeping. This policy allows many Medford buildings to be feasible locations for temporary shelters with the minimal additional requirements. Each location used as a Temporary Shelter shall be approved through Medford Fire-Rescue.  Call  541-774-2300 for more information.
