OPEN BURNING IS NOT ALLOWED INSIDE THE MEDFORD CITY LIMITS AT ANY TIME.
Fires in fire pits or fire appliances are allowed inside the city limits under strict guidelines.  More info here:

Yard debris burning is allowed in Rural Fire Protection District 2.  Rules for Burning are listed on the permit.

Use of Power Equipment Such as Chain Saws and Lawn Mowers During Fire Season
The City of Medford follows the Oregon Department of Forestry restrictions on the use of power equipment during fire season. Restrictions vary based on the declared fire danger (low, moderate, high, extreme.)  Visit the SWOFIRE website for information about the current, declared fire danger.
