Horseshoe and Bocce Ball Courts
was purchased in 1945 from Frank and Katherine Farrell, this 20 acre tract provides a welcome retreat to busy shoppers, families and anyone craving an open green area. It has drinking fountains, play area, 1 bocce ball court, 2 horsehoe pits, a rose garden, restrooms and a large open area.

After six years of planning, building, and careful landscaping the city hosted a ribbon cutting celebration on June 4, 1950.

Hawthorne Pavilion is one of the more heavily used areas for private use and special events. The open field is visited by soccer players, colorful cultural festivals, and other public events hosted by local organizations; as well as Medford Parks and Recreation.

RESERVATIONS/RULES The pavilion is a gated/locked area which can be reserved, as well as the open area. If you are interested in reserving these areas please visit the area to make sure the size of your group can be accommodated and then refer to our Rules and Reservation page:
