Public Works is working with engineering consultant, ZCS Engineering, to prepare construction drawings for two pedestrian path bridge crossings along the proposed trail. Preliminary bridge plans are expected for review by end of January 2018. Right-of-way acquisition activities continue along with overall plan preparation. The project is scheduled to be advertised for bids summer 2018.

Engineering consultant, Brown and Caldwell, is performing a flood study as needed to obtain a flood development permit for the project. Public Works is working on final plans and is tentatively scheduled to go to bid November 2018. Environmental permitting is complete and acquisition of right-of-way
is nearly done. Bridge plans are being finalized and project constructability is being analyzed. Overall, project construction scheduled to be completed October 2019.
Public Works completed the construction plans, advertised for bids, and opened bids on December 13, 2018. JRT Construction, LLC submitted the lowest responsible bid of $1,756,202.35. Seven (7) bids were received with one removed from consideration and deemed non-responsive. The contract is scheduled to go to City Council for approval on Thursday, January 17, 2019.
JRT Construction, LLC, scheduled to start work on the project site the second week of April, weather permitting. First activities will be clearing and grubbing and removal and placement of fencing. Project completion scheduled for November 2019.
JRT Construction LLC, has constructed approximately 45% of the project with retaining walls and bridge abutments being the current focus. The 80 foot and 100 foot long pedestrian bridges are being fabricated and project is scheduled to be complete November 2019.
JRT Construction is nearly finished. Completion of path striping, signing, and minor fencing are the only items that remain. Final inspection with City Staff is scheduled the second week of October. Anticipated completion date is October 18, 2019.
JRT Construction has completed the project and its currently opened to the public.
