The City of Medford (City) and Medford Water Commission (Commission) request proposals from qualified firms of certified public accountants to audit the financial statements of the City of Medford and Medford Water Commission. The first reporting period to be audited is July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018, with the contract extending through the biennium ending June 30, 2019. Detailed information regarding the services to be provided can be found in Exhibit A – Scope of Work.
You can submit a proposal for the City of Medford, a proposal specifically for the Medford Water Commission, or for both City and Commission. Please be aware that the City of Medford and the Medford Water Commission may or may not elect to choose the same firm for audit services.
Sealed proposals may be submitted electronically through BidSync or by sealed paper proposal. Sealed paper proposals may be submitted to City of Medford and Medford Water Commission, Jennifer Huston, Purchasing Agent, 411 West 8th Street, Room 380, Medford OR 97501, until 4:00PM, local time, April 4, 2018. Proposals must be marked in the lower left corner “RFP 18-006 FI, Audit Services.” Please indicate the agency (or both) that the response is for on the outside of the envelope. FACSIMILE or EMAIL PROPOSALS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE. Late proposals will be kept by the City, but not considered for award.

The City of Medford and Medford Water Commission reserve the right to reject any and all proposals not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements and may reject, for good cause, any and all proposals upon the finding that it is in the public interest to do so. The City and Commission reserve the right to waive any and all informalities if it is deemed in the best interest of the public.
The City of Medford and Medford Water Commission will consider the element of time and will accept the proposal or proposals which in their estimation will best serve the interests of the City and Commission. The City and Commission reserve the right to award the contract to the firm(s) or individual(s) whose proposal(s) shall be best for the public good.
