Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Self-Evaluation
The City of Medford Public Works Department is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to perform and compile data for a comprehensive Federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Self-Evaluation for street intersections and sidewalks within the public right-of-way in the City of Medford.  Proposals will be received by Alex Georgevitch, P.E., Deputy Public Works Director/City Engineer for the City of Medford, 200 S. Ivy Street, 2nd Floor, Medford, Oregon 97501, until 1:00 p.m., local time, April 24, 2018.  FACSIMILE PROPOSALS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE.
As soon thereafter as possible, the proposals will be reviewed and evaluated by a City of Medford Selection Committee.
DESCRIPTION:  This Request for Proposal (RFP) seeks to secure the most qualified consultant to perform field investigations within the City right-of-way facilities in order to identify obstacles limiting accessibility, describe methods to improve accessibility, and suggest a schedule for achieving ADA compliance that can be used in the preparation of the City’s ADA Transition Plan.  The selected consultant shall have relevant experience with all federal accessibility regulations, public agency provided services, programs and activities requirements, and preparation of accessibility survey and evaluation reports for a Title II entity.
The Request for Proposal (RFP) may be obtained by contacting the Engineering Division via email at or by calling (541) 774-2100.  Instructions will be provided on how to obtain the RFP electronically.  The RFP documents include Sections I through V more particularly described as follows:

            Section IV:      Proposal Requirements
            Section V:       Evaluation Process
The City of Medford (City) may reject any and all proposals upon a finding of the City that it is in the public interest to do so.  The City also reserves the right to waive any informalities in any proposal and to delete certain items listed in the proposal as set forth herein.
Proposals received after the time established for receiving proposals will not be considered.
