Sealed bids addressed to the Purchasing Office, City of Medford, Oregon, endorsed, “Medford Service Center Lot Expansion” will be received by Jennifer Huston, Purchasing Agent, City of Medford, 411 W. 8th St, Room 380, Medford, Oregon 97501, until 2:00 p.m. local time, June 23, 2016. As soon thereafter as possible, the bids will be opened publicly and read aloud. Bids received after the time established for receiving bids will not be considered.
There will be a MANDATORY pre-proposal conference at 411 W 8th St, Room 330 at 1:30 PM on June 7, 2016 and a walkthrough immediately after. Interested parties must be present to be eligible to submit a proposal.
DESCRIPTION: Provide and install materials and labor required for the construction of a new parking lot as outlined in the Scope of Work. The Contractor will provide all of the required materials and equipment as detailed in the plans and specifications.

Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security as prescribed in the Instructions to Bidders, payable to the City of Medford, Oregon, in an amount not less than ten (10) percent of the amount bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish the necessary additional bond(s) for the faithful performance of the Contract, as prescribed in the Instructions to Bidders.
In accordance with ORS 279B.100 the City of Medford may cancel the procurement or reject any Bid not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, or may reject for good cause, any or all Bids upon a finding of the City it is in the public interest to do so. The Contract, if awarded, is to be awarded to the lowest responsive, and responsible bidder.
Bidders on this work must comply with Federal Construction Labor Standards and with all other applicable federal governmental requirements including, but not limited to, equal employment opportunity actions as specified.
No bid for a construction contract shall be received or considered unless the bidder is registered with the Construction Contractors Board or licensed by the State Landscape Contractors Board as required by ORS 671.530.
This project does contain asbestos abatement work and the contractor or (any) subcontractor will be required to be licensed by the Department of Environmental Quality (ORS 468A.720). Please include a copy of the license for contractor performing this portion of the work.
This project is a prevailing wage project. Submission of a bid constitutes agreement by the bidder stating that provisions of ORS. 279C.800 to 279C.870 will be met.
All bidders must state at the appropriate place in the bid documents, whether or not the bidder is a resident as defined in ORS 279A.120.
