Description:
Sealed bids for the KENNEDY PARK PHASE IIIB, REBID project will be received by Jennifer Huston, Purchasing Agent, City of Medford, 411 W 8th Street, Room 380, Medford, Oregon 97501, until 2:00 P.M. local time, on April 20, 2017. 
As soon thereafter as possible, the bids will be opened publicly and read aloud.
DESCRIPTION :   This project construction will occur at the existing Kennedy Park in Medford, Oregon. Contractor will provide all labor, equipment and materials required for the construction of a third phase of Kennedy Park, to include: a parking lot, new and refurbished asphalt paths, drainage system, path and parking lot lighting system, picnic shelter, playground element, landscaping and irrigation. This Phase III-B contract work follows a Phase III Drainage contract completed in the Fall of 2016 for the construction of a storm drainage system in the existing soccer field. This is a rebid of a canceled project titled: ITB 17-001PR, Kennedy Park Phase IIIB.
Implement a CITY approved soil protection plan to ensure soils under trees and in landscape areas are not damaged.  Soil shall not be compacted when the soils contain moisture.  A typical construction season is interrupted during the rainy season- from mid-October through April. 
This project construction will occur at the existing Kennedy Park in Medford, Oregon.The Respondent shall thoroughly examine and familiarize himself with the Bid document and all other contract documents. The Respondent’s own judgment shall be relied upon in preparing the Bid and include a Bid sum sufficient to cover all items required by the contract, with good construction and workmanship standards.

In accordance with ORS 279B.100 the CITY may cancel the procurement or reject any Bid not in compliance with all prescribed public Bid procedures and requirements, or may reject for good cause, any or all Bids upon a finding of the CITY that it is in the public interest to do so. The City also reserves the right to waive any informality in any bid and to delete certain items listed in the bid as set forth therein.
All Respondents must state at the appropriate place in the Bid documents, whether or not the Respondent is a resident as defined in ORS 279A.120.  A percentage increase, as determined by the Department of General Services, will be added to non-resident's Bids for the purpose of determining the lowest qualified Respondent.
Bids received after the time established for receiving bids will not be considered.  Bidders on this work must comply with Federal Construction Labor Standards and with all other applicable federal governmental requirements including, but not limited to equal employment opportunity actions as specified.  BOLI prevailing wages are required for this project.
This project does not contain asbestos abatement work and the contractor or (any) subcontractor will not be required to be licensed by the Department of Environmental Quality (ORS 468A.720). 
Thi s project is a prevailing wage project . Submission of a bid constitutes agreement by the bidder stating the provisions of ORS. 279C.800 will be met.
Bids received after the time established for receiving bids will not be considered. EMAIL AND FACSIMILE BIDS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE.
