Type of Incident: Attempted Murder x2, Unlawful Use of a Weapon x2

Date of incident: January 28, 2017

Location of incident: Alley near the 100 block of Cottage Street

Case #: 17-2227

On 1/28/17 at approximately 11:30pm, Medford Police Officers responded to the alley near the 100 block of Cottage Street for the report of several shots being fired. It was determined the male suspect had fired several rounds at a group of people. The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle with a
Hispanic male. No one was injured during the incident, however one shot struck an apartment building and another struck a vehicle.

Medford Police Detectives responded and evidence located at the scene indicated multiple rounds had been fired. After a lengthy investigation, 24 year old Raymond Suarez Jr. has been identified as the suspected shooter. He is described as a Hispanic male 5’10” and 220lbs. He has black hair, brown eyes, and several tattoos on his face.

Search Warrants have been served on Suarez’s home and vehicle. The handgun has not been  located.

Suarez is believed to have gang affiliations out of California and is considered Armed and Dangerous.
