Type of Incident: Attempted Murder

Date of incident: May 3rd, 2017 at 9:02 p.m.

Location of incident: 4600 block of Eagle Trace Lane, Medford

On the listed date and time, officers responded to a home in the 4600
block of Eagle Trace Drive for a report of a shooting. One of the parties on
scene had called 911.

Upon arrival, officers found a 58 year old male suffering from a gunshot
wound to the upper torso. He was transported to ARRMC for treatment.
The wound is serious but not believed to be life threatening. He was able
to provide a statement to police prior to and during treatment.

Officers arrested the shooter on scene, identified as Charles Bradford
Curtis, 53 years old. He provided an address in Albuquerque, New Mexico
and did not live at the residence, but was visiting the couple who lived
there.

The investigation revealed that the victim came home where he resided
with his long-term girlfriend. He found Curtis naked and in the hot-tub
with his girlfriend. A physical altercation ensued between the victim and
Mr. Curtis. After this, the victim told Curtis to leave. Several minutes
later, a verbal altercation occurred between the two when the victim
found Curtis was still there, and still not clothed. During this verbal
dispute, Curtis shot the victim.

The handgun was recovered on scene. As of this morning, the victim
remains hospitalized.

Albuquerque, NM

Charges:

· Attempted Murder
· Assault 1st Degree
Bail: $1,000,000
