Death Investigation - UPDATE

Type of Incident: Death Investigation (MPD Case 17-21124)

Date of incident: September 5, 2017

Location of incident: 2000 Block Lawnridge Street, Medford

Deceased: McInroy, Tylor Weston Age: 22
On 9/5/17 at 9:39PM, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 2000 block of Lawnridge Street for a reported disturbance. Upon arrival officers observed a male subject who appeared unresponsive lying on the floor inside the garage. Upon making entry into the garage officers confirmed the male subject was deceased. Officers contacted a second male subject at the residence who has been interviewed and released.

Detectives from the Medford Police Department, the Oregon State Police Crime Lab, and a Jackson County Deputy Medical Examiner responded. The investigation continued throughout the morning.
The deceased has been identified as 22 year old Tylor McInroy who lived at the residence. On 9/6/17 an autopsy was performed and the cause of death was determined to be a single gunshot wound.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.

The Medford Police Department continued their investigation through the first part of this week into the death of Tylor McInroy. At this time detectives believe the gunshot wound to McInroy was self-inflicted.

This investigation will be forwarded to the Jackson County District Attorney’s Office for review.
