MPD Investigates Armed Robbery

On 2/5/18 at 10:28 AM, Medford Police Officers responded to a reported armed robbery at Novedades La Mexicana, 2130 W. Main Street. Officers were advised the suspect fled from the business on foot east towards Reager Street. There were no customers inside the business when the robbery occurred, and no injuries were reported. The suspect left the business with an unknown disclosed amount of cash.

The suspect displayed a firearm during the robbery. The suspect is described as a white male adult, late 20's -- early 30's, 6' -- 6'3" tall. The suspect is wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, black sweat pants or cargo pants, black and white tennis shoes, and black Nike gloves. The suspect also appears to be wearing a black beanie underneath his hood and carrying a black satchel. This suspect's face is partially covered by a camouflage mask.

Officers and detectives searched the area around Reager Street. It is believed the suspect fled through a field behind Black Bird towards the area of Sunset Avenue. The suspect is considered to be armed and dangerous. The Medford Police Department is asking anyone with information to contact the Medford Police Department Investigations Division (541) 774-2230.
