Suspicious Package Deemed Safe at Medford Credit Union

On April 9th at 8:06AM Medford Police responded to the report of a suspicious package outside of Rogue Credit Union, 1370 Center Drive.  Employees discovered the partially concealed package in the landscaping of the credit union.

The majority of the south side parking lot was closed off to the public and certain areas of the credit union were evacuated.  At the request of the Medford Police Department the Oregon State Police Explosives Unit responded to the scene.   Utilizing a robot the Oregon State Police Explosives Unit was able to determine the package was empty and posed no threat.

The parking lot and all services at the credit union were opened back up at 10:30AM.  The Medford Police Department wants to remind everyone to always use caution when dealing with suspicious packages or devices.
