City Seeking to Fill Potential Ward 4 Vacancy

Potential Council VacancyThe Mayor and City Council are accepting applications from citizens in Ward 4 to fill a potential vacancy on the City Council. Click here to see a map of Ward 4. This position will also serve on the Medford Urban Renewal (MURA) Board, and the City and MURA Budget Committees. Appointed term ends December 31, 2020. This is an unpaid position.

Requirements

All prospective candidates must be a resident of Ward 4, a resident of the City of Medford for more than six months, and a registered voter. Ward 4 is identified as the Southeast quadrant of the city.
 

Application Process

To file as a candidate you must complete an application, obtain 25 qualified signatures from residents of Ward 4, and go through an interview process with a Ward 4 Citizen Committee and the City Council. Deadline for applying is Tuesday, November 27, 2018.
 
Those interested in serving can obtain filing information and forms here or contact the City Recorder at Medford City Hall, City Managerís Office, 411 W. 8th Street, Room 310.
 
The City Council will also appoint a Citizens Committee from Ward 4 to interview the applicants and make a recommendation to the Council.
