Wildfire Safety

Jpg

On September 8, 2020, a massive, deadly wildfire burned from Ashland to South Medford in a matter of hours.  The Almeda Fire quickly traveled up the Bear Creek Greenway corridor, spread out into the towns of Talent, Phoenix and Medford, and destroyed more than 2300 homes.

Maintaining a defensible space and eliminating ignition hazards around your home can greatly increase your safety in a wildfire.  Follow these links for more information about preparing your home for wildfire.
