Residential Burning

YARD DEBRIS BURNING IS NOT ALLOWED INSIDE THE MEDFORD CITY LIMITS AT ANY TIME.
Fires in fire pits or fire appliances are allowed inside the city limits under strict guidelines.  More info here:

Yard debris burning is allowed outside the city limits in Rural Fire Protection District 2 during the declared burn season and under strict guidelines.  The next burn season for RFPD2 begins on March 1, 2021.

Use of Power Equipment Such as Chain Saws and Lawn Mowers During Fire Season
The City of Medford follows the Oregon Department of Forestry restrictions on the use of power equipment during fire season. Restrictions vary based on the declared fire danger (low, moderate, high, extreme.)  Visit the SWOFIRE website for information about the current, declared fire danger.
