Crosswalk Enhancement Main and Keene Way (TCP0301)

This project will improve the crosswalk at the intersection of E. Main Street and Keene Way Drive by installing either a Rectangular Rapid Flash Beacon (RRFB), like the one at 9th Street and Riverside Avenue, or a pedestrian refuge island. There is an existing crosswalk with warning signs and an always-blinking warning light that provides a crossing for Hedrick Middle School from the neighborhoods south of E. Main Street. The RRFB or pedestrian refuge island will provide a higher level of pedestrian safety than the existing condition.
