COVID-19: City Facilities Reopen for Limited In-person Services



Medford City Manager, Brian SjothunBrian Sjothun was selected as Medford's City Manager on September 1, 2016. Brian has been with the City since March of 2004, previously serving as the Parks and Recreation Director. Prior to coming to the City of Medford, Brian spent 16 years with the Woodburn Recreation & Parks Department. 

Brian believes the City Manager's role is to provide guidance to city staff on items that the City Council would like to see brought forward for policy decisions.

The City Manager's Office provides support to the Mayor and City Council, Department Directors, Medford Urban Renewal Agency (MURA) and the community.    In addition to the City Manager, the staff includes:  Deputy City Manager/Economic Development, Deputy City Manager/Chief Financial Officer, MURA Director, Chief Administrative Officer, City Recorder, Deputy City Recorder, and Assistant to the City Manager.
