Business License Information and FAQ's

Any person doing business in the Medford city limits is required to obtain a business license.  A business is defined as that which has any activity, trade, profession, occupation, calling, or regular pursuit carried on with the intent that a profit is realized.  This includes commercial trade and home occupations.  State and federally recognized not-for-profit corporations that either have an office or provide services within the City of Medford shall also be subject to the business license review process.

A business license provides the city with an opportunity to determine whether the location, site, and existing structure (if one is to be used) can lawfully be used for the conduct of the proposed activity under the provisions of the Medford Code (8.0001 - 8.8080). Other regulatory licenses may be required depending on the type of business. more
